About the Event For Parents and Players

Estel Úqua is a family friendly Fantasy Live Action Role Play Game based in Texas. We play single day events at various parks around Houston, Texas and full weekend events at Lake Houston Wilderness Park, in New Caney, Texas or Cauldron's Keep in Dale, Texas. In this game gender norms are gender neutral assumption first. Please make an effort to address all characters as "They/Them" until the character tells you their preference.

Our Game is set in a fantasy world where magic abounds, or did, until recently when the circles that brought people back from the Grey began to fade away.

Live Action Role Play is an immersive version of the 1970's group table game Dungeons and Dragons (as seen in Stranger Things!). Much like Improve Acting, players take on a role and play that character throughout the duration. These are known as PCs or player characters. NPCs or non-player characters play many different people throughout the duration of the game, including antagonists. Together players solve puzzles or save each-other during fake battles (called "mods"), and enjoy wholesome outdoors fun. All battles are conducted in the presence of a referee (an NPC) who stops game play if there are concerns of safety issues or for rules clarifications. Soft "weapons" that are made of latex covered foam are used or small sacks of bird seed are thrown. No full contact should be made.

Safety is important to us. This is a mixed gender game and pda and sexual behavior is restricted for the safety of all players. No relationships in game or out of game with underage players is permitted of any kind and legal action will be taken if any such behavior occurs. No harassment or bigotry of any kind - including racism, blackface, transphobia, etc. - will be tolerated.
